The IADT vision is to be at the forefront of teaching, research and innovation, at the convergence of the arts, technology and enterprise, and to contribute to Ireland’s development as a creative knowledge economy. IADT graduates have been successful nationally and internationally in the creative and cultural industries, in the sciences and the arts, technology and the business world, and have contributed to the social and political life of nations.

IADT's School of Business and Humanities offers programmes that focus on the world of business in the knowledge, cultural, media and entertainment sectors. The School of Creative Technologies offers programmes that explore the interaction of people and technology. The School of Creative Arts offers programmes that blend creativity and technology in art, design and media. It includes the internationally recognised National Film School.

IADT is located on the outskirts of Dun Laoghaire, a major town in south Dublin, Ireland, with excellent transport links and a thriving community of its own.

Having only been formally established in 1997, IADT is a young institution which aims to be full of vibrancy both on campus and in the classroom. Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT) currently does not have any on campus accommodation, nor does it maintain a formal accommodation list. The Institute advises students to consult various websites such as, newspapers and local community notices which provide good information on available accommodation.

IADT is situated in the Dun Laoghaire/ Deansgrange suburb. The Institute is well served by the Dublin bus routes 46a, 75, & 63 bus routes. Any accommodation on these bus routes would be suitable.

Please note that IADT is approximately 3km from Dun Laoghaire DART station and one would require a connecting bus (46a, 75, or 63) to get to IADT’s Kill Avenue campus.
