Once you have successfully completed your ICM studies, you will be prepared for entry into your program at the University of Manitoba.

The UTPII programs are the equivalent to the first year of the University's Bachelor Degree. Upon successful completion of UTPII, students transfer into the second year of their degree at the University of Manitoba.

English Requirements:
IELTS: Overall 5.5 (Minimum 5.5 in reading and writing bands, 5.0 in speaking and listening)
 

 

ENTRY INTO UTP STAGE II GENERALLY REQUIRES THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF YEAR 12 OF SECONDARY SCHOOL OR ITS EQUIVALENT.

Entry into UTP Stage I generally requires the successful completion of Year 11 or its equivalent. Specific academic requirements are listed below.

Not all qualifications are listed, so if you have other qualifications,If you have completed secondary school, but your results do not qualify you for entry into UTP Stage II, you will be admitted to UTP Stage I.

India Senior Secondary School Certificate with minimum 60% in 3 academic subjects

Science courses:

India Senior Secondary School Certificate with an average of 75% in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics with no grade lower than 70%

 UTP Stage II: Engineering 
 UTP Stage II: Environment, Earth, and Resources

As an ICM student, you will have access to a range of accommodation options to find which one best suits your needs.
These include on-campus accommodation, off-campus accommodation and homestay. Students under 18 years of age who require a custodian are encouraged to apply for homestay accommodation.
 
The University of Manitoba residences (on-campus accommodation)
ICM students may apply to live in University of Manitoba residences at the Fort Garry campus, just a short walk from your classes. Mary Speechly Hall, Pembina Hall, University College and St Andrew's College feature:
furnished rooms (bed, desk, chair and bookshelf)
meal plans
lounges with TVs and DVD players
laundry facilities
Students looking to live on-campus are encouraged to apply early as spaces fill up months in advance!
You can choose to live in traditional undergraduate housing or on special-interest floors with students who have similar interests. 
 
Homestay
For many students, the opportunity to stay with a Canadian family in the local community offers special appeal. As a homestay student, you will have the chance to be a part of the family, taking part in family activities and celebrating special occasions.
All homestay families live within commuting distance of the University of Manitoba. Homestay includes three meals per day, a bedroom, internet access and local phone calls.
Off-campus accommodation
A wide range of off-campus accommodation, including private rentals and shared accommodation, is available to ICM students. The best places to start looking for off-campus accommodation are classified advertisements in Winnipeg newspapers or on their websites, including the Winnipeg Free Press and the Winnipeg Sun.

ACADEMIC MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS Navitas is committed to helping you achieve your career goals by offering scholarships to outstanding students. Each term, Navitas colleges* award two students with academic merit scholarships.
 
SUSAN DEANE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP In honour of ICM’s first College Director and Principal, Susan Deane, and her significant contributions to both ICM and the education sector more broadly in Manitoba, the Susan Deane Memorial Scholarship program was established. One C$5,500 scholarship is awarded each term to a selected student who has successfully completed the University Transfer Program Stage II in that term, and who is progressing to the University of Manitoba in the following term. The student is chosen by a selection committee based on cumulative GPA and contributions to ICM and the community.
