The College of New Caledonia (CNC) set up in 1969, is a post-secondary educational institution that serves the residents of the Central Interior of British Columbia. CNC operates six campuses in Prince George, Burns Lake, Fort St. James, Mackenzie, Quesnel and Vanderhoof.

Students may select from a wide range of health, social science, technology, trade, university transfer, adult special education and basic education programs. The college works with the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) to enable students to build upon college studies and obtain university degrees.

Welcome to the Student Residence

Located a few steps from the main campus, the Residence is home to both first year and returning students, mature students, trades students, international students, and many more. Whether for a few weeks, a semester, a full academic year, or multiple academic years, the Residence is a home away from home to students in programs of varying length.

The Residence is centrally located and is close to shopping, transportation routes, recreational facilities, and forest trails. With 92 residents coming and going, it's a diverse community who live, study, and socialize together supported by the Residence Team.

Students are provided with the option of Standard Single Room with a shared bathroom, Large Single Room with a shared bathroom, Single Room with a private bathroom and Trades Room

To apply for Residence please complete and submit the application found under Student Resources. Space is limited so it is recommended to apply early.

Homestay

Want to quickly improve your English and immerse yourself into Canadian culture? Then the Homestay program is for you! The carefully selected host families guide and support you as you learn about your new community and help you connect to local experiences. Enjoy your own private bedroom and home cooked meals in a caring, family environment.

Scholarships For International Students

Jieun (Ashley) Kim Memorial Endowment Scholarship (value $400) open to all full-time international students at the College of New Caledonia.

 Mary Ann Tierney scholarship (value: $2,000) open to full-time, first year international students in second or subsequent semester.
