Centennial College of Applied Arts and Technology is a diploma and degree granting college located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is the oldest publicly funded college in Ontario. Its campuses are primarily situated in the east side of the city, particularly in Scarborough, with a new aerospace centre currently under construction at Downsview.

In the past 49 years, Centennial has transformed from a local community college into one of the most culturally diverse post-secondary education institutions in Canada and a leader in international education. Its core focus, as it has always been, is on preparing graduates to enter the work force, while offering  students distinct ways to learn to be leaders.

Centennial has five campuses and eight specialized academic schools in Toronto, offering post-secondary, postgraduate and fast-track programs in Business, Engineering Technology and Applied Science, Communications, Media and Design, Health and Community studies, Hospitality, Tourism and Culture and Transportation as well as English Language Learning (ELL) and foundations programs for college and university preparation.

The Canadian education system is standardized by the government - ensuring exceptional quality of academic programs at all government accredited post-secondary institutions, such as Centennial College.  As a recognized Ontario College, all programs meet strict educational standards set by the Ontario Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities (MTCU).

The institution has grown in size and stature and today welcomes international students.

Student Residence

The Centennial College Residence is more than just a place to sleep. It's an opportunity to develop lifelong friendships and memories. They strongly recommend that international students stay in their residence during the first year of study to help jump-start their Canadian living/learning experience.

Centennial College offers assured accommodation for international students who apply on time. The College’s residence hall is located adjacent to the Progress Campus and offers easy connectivity to students to rest of Toronto. Public bus-service and the light-rail station is just a short walk from the residence hall.

Students can choose from single and double room options. The rent includes charges for utilities, local telephone access, cable television, internet access and room furnishings.

Homestay

Coming to a new country can be exciting, but also intimidating. The Homestay program partners you with a family, which will help you to adjust to your new city by offering advice and information on getting around.

Off-Campus Housing

The Centennial College Student Association Inc. (CCSAI) manages an off-campus housing service through a company called Places4Students Inc.

Students also have the option to live in off-campus accommodation options. A number of private student hostels and apartments exist that students can lease or rent.

Scholarships

There are many scholarships and bursaries available to students for work well done. Provided by local employers, organizations and individuals, these awards are a testimony to the enormous amount of community and corporate support Centennial College has attracted over the years.

Most of our scholarships are aimed at college students who have been in their chosen program for at least one year. The  entrance scholarships are open to new applicants to Centennial.

International students are not eligible for Ontario financial aid, or Centennial College’s entry scholarships. However, at the end of 2nd semester, international students can be eligible for a partial scholarship based on academic merit along with all other students.

Each academic school at Centennial also offers scholarships and awards for returning students who have demonstrated academic merit.
