Fleming College, also known as Sir Sandford Fleming College, is an Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology located at Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. The college has an enrollment of more than 5,800 full-time and 10,000 part-time students.

Located in the heart of Central Ontario, Fleming College has campus locations in Peterborough, Lindsay, Cobourg and Haliburton.

English Language Requirements: (Only IELTS)

•             UG – 6.0 band with no band less than 5.5

•             PG – 6.5 band with no band less than 6.0

 

 

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

All international students applying to post-secondary programs must have a secondary school diploma or equivalent. International students applying to post-graduate programs must have a recognized college diploma or university degree in a related field to the program of interest.

Post Graduate Certificates:

All Graduate Certificates require a minimum 15 years of academics in 1st or 2nd Division (Degree or Diploma) PLUS the admission requirements noted for each individual program.

Fast Track:

Students with a minimum of 15 years of academics in 1st or 2nd Division with a diploma in a field related to the Fast Track Program will typically be assessed for Fast Track entry to Year Two (Semester 3). Further advanced standing beyond the Fast Track option may be granted for students with more advanced credentials.

Diplomas and Certificates:

Minimum admission requirements for post-secondary programs is Higher Secondary Certificate or Standard XII with minimum 50% average plus additional requirements noted below.

Living on campus can make it easier for Fleming students to become part of college life. Fleming’s Peterborough and Lindsay campuses feature friendly staff, plenty of social activities and comfortable spaces to help students acclimate to college life.

At Fleming College you can choose between the two residence villages Sutherland Residence Village and Frost Residence.

Sutherland Residence Village Suite offers style living accommodating six students with single bedrooms, shared kitchen, living room and washroom facilities - completely furnished.

 Frost Residence offer suite style living accommodating six students with single bedrooms, shared kitchen, living room and washroom facilities - also completely furnished.

Off-Campus Housing

There are many housing options available for you both near campus and near downtown. Please take the time to research your options so that you can decide what type of housing best suits your needs, budget and lifestyle. It is your responsibility as a student to locate and secure housing.

There is also the alternative of off Campus housing. For over 30 years, landlords in the community have been providing, safe, secure, affordable accommodation to students living off-campus. Fleming’s Off-Campus Housing Department has a multitude of resources available on-line and in-house to assist you in finding a place to live. Accommodations include: room in a private home, room with meals in a private home, apartments, houses and cottages.

If you’re attending a program in Peterborough, Lindsay or Cobourg and are interested in sharing accommodation with other students, so u can choose the roommate matching and sublet service. Connect with other Fleming students who have already found accommodation that they wish to share, and register yourself as an available roommate so that other students can get in touch with you.

HOMESTAY

Homestays mean living with a local family, which often includes some meals and family activities. A home stay can offer you a home away from home, where you are matched with a Canadian host, based on your background, interests and lifestyle. This arrangement gives you the opportunity to improve your language skills, share your culture with others and become part of a family

Ensuring accessibility and financial aid for students in need is among the highest priorities at Fleming College. Fleming has provided more than $3.3 million to students in financial need through donor-sponsored scholarships and bursaries.
