Students need to plan their accommodations well in advance of their arrival in Canada  as all accommodation options fill up quickly, well before the start of the semester.

On-Campus Residence Accommodations

On-Campus residence accomodations are provided per discretion by the school. The College of the Rockies offers on-campus accommodation through the Purcell House Residence. It is your responsibility to apply directly to Residence.

The Residence is a secure building with 16 living units for a total capacity of 96

Each living unit has 6 private bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a kitchen and living room.

The Residence is a great place to meet Canadian college students and enjoy campus life.

Living in Residence makes it easier for you to get to and from classes, access the Library and Computer Labs , find someone down the hall to help you with a study problem or to socialize with when you're lonely , be involved in extra curricular activities and make good friends

Off-Campus Accommodations

The local area has a variety of off-campus rental housing options including single homes, duplexes, apartments and rooms for rent.  There are many apartment buildings within walking distance of the College.

Rental costs vary, depending on availability. Students wishing to live off-campus need to research availability on their own and should arrive well before the start of term to do so.

If you choose to live in an apartment, you must find this accommodation on your own after you arrive.  Apartment placement is not provided by the College.

The International Office can provide a list of local apartment building managers and property management companies for your follow up after arrival.

There are a wide variety of homestay options available, and the  partners do their best to match students and hosts according to their interests and preferences. Homestay hosts include single people, young couples with children and pets, and older couples. All homestay accommodations have been inspected, and all adults in the home have completed a required criminal reference check.
