The Poznan University of Economics and Business  (PUEB) ,  established in 1926,  is one of the best, oldest and most prestigious economic universities in Poland, widely  renown  for its academic excellence. It has been occupying top positions in the university rankings published by respected Polish magazines. It is an academic institution in the western part of the country attracting students from many parts of Poland.

The main campus of the university is located in Poznan, but the University offers its courses also in seven other locations (colleges of higher education) situated within a distance of 30–100 km from Poznan

With its reputation for quality, PUEB specializes in the education of business leaders, highly-qualified managers, economic experts, as well as national and international administration personnel capable of operating successfully in the global business environment.

The University is both a teaching and a research institution with a long tradition in education and strong academic standing, it is also famous for its credibility in economic analyses. As an economic university it develops all forms of academic teaching, places great value towards academic research, is a leader in economic expertise and in implementation of innovation and continuously develops international cooperation and its relations with business.

The school employs over six hundred academics, including approximately a hundred and thirty professors. These are highly-qualified educators as well as widely recognized, eminent scientists and business practitioners. Members of the University’s research personnel sit on various advisory committees, participate in research projects, offer expert opinions, and advise business entities and state agencies. As the school attaches great importance to the quality of education, it consistently applies modern teaching methods in class.

·         High School Diploma (legalized copy in English or Polish, i.e. sealed and signed by a Polish consul in your country or your consul working in Poland, or adjusted apostille, for candidates from countries that have signed the Hague Convention);

·         verified extract from student's registration book, including list of examination and credits or supplement for diploma;

The University offers its students self-catering accommodation in its three halls of residence. They are located not far from the city center, and are well linked with the University by public transportation. All the buildings have recently been refurbished. Most of the rooms are double and equipped with a high-speed Internet connection. Exchange students are guaranteed to be offered a place in one of the University’s halls of residence.

There are University dorms and a list of other private dormitories around Poznan. The CSE staff will help all those interested in finding a room in a dorm.

The monthly cost of a room in a dorm (double room) is 120-150 euro.




The University Rector will consider the demands for fee reduction on individual basis, taking into account material status of the candidate.

Besides, PUE authorities would support efforts of approved candidates to procure financial support from both governmental and international agencies and nongovernmental institutions.

The tuition fees range from EUR 2000 to 6000 per year and depend on the institution and study program (for MBA programs: about EUR 8000-12,000 per year).


Depending on your personal situation, lifestyle and habits you may have different needs. In practice, you will need at least PLN 1500-2000 per month in order to cover the cost of decent accommodation, pay for the local transport, and even go out occasionally. This amount should cover the costs of rent, food, clothing, personal hygiene, local transport, study materials, telephone and other expenses – however, not the tuition fee.
