Abertay University, operating name for the University of Abertay Dundee since 2014, is one of two public universities in the city of Dundee, Scotland.

 Abertay was the first University in the world to offer a computer games degree, and the first in the UK to be recognized as a Centre for Excellence in Computer Games Education. You could never accuse Abertay of being stuck in the past. It offers world-leading courses in computer arts, ethical hacking, computer games technology and environmental sciences; has some of the best IT facilities in the UK;

 Abertay University is situated in the centre of Dundee. The campus buildings include the historic Old College buildings of Dundee Business School, the Bernard King Library, scenes of crime teaching facilities, specialist Ethical Hacking labs designed for research into computer hacking and misuse, and modern computer games labs in the UK Centre for Excellence in Computer Games Education

Dundee itself is a bustling, hard-working city, the fourth largest in Scotland and also, apparently, the sunniest, thanks to its south-facing aspect. There are good local arts scenes, with a particularly good track record in music.

English Language Requirements

UG: All applicants for undergraduate programmes will need a minimum English level of 6.0 IELTS. Some programmes require 6.5.

PG: For postgraduate entry all applicants will need a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

Undergraduate Bachelor Degrees are 4 years in duration and they normally require students to have a senior secondary school leaving certificate (12th standard from ICSE, CBSE or state boards) with minimum of 65% or better, or the equivalent of A-levels or IB (International Baccalaureate). In exceptional cases, it may be possible to gain advanced entry with good grades (please contact Student recruitment office to check if you are eligible for advanced UG entry).

Postgraduate Masters Degrees are 12 months in duration as compared to 24 months in India and most of them have a September-intake only.
