Carnegie Mellon University in Australia (which opened in 2006) forms part of Carnegie Mellon’s global footprint which includes campuses in Silicon Valley, Rwanda and Qatar.

Located in Adelaide, the fifth Most Liveable City in the world (Economist Intelligence Unit 2015) and Australia’s most affordable mainland capital city, the Carnegie Mellon Australia campus is home to students from over 20 countries, creating wide-reaching networks of contemporaries, global experts and alumni.

Students graduate with the Carnegie Mellon University American degree and are taught by highly qualified faculty who boast extensive careers in teaching, basic and applied research, and leadership in their respective fields. Classes are taught by resident and visiting faculty from Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C. Overseas faculty teach remotely to Adelaide using sophisticated video conferencing facilities. The minimum IELTS score is 6.5 overall and 6.0 in each band.

Students must achieve an average minimum score of GRE 300 and GMAT 600.     

All applicants must provide documentation of their completed undergraduate degree (a bachelor's degree or its equivalent) from a regionally accredited institution prior to matriculation. (Applicants who have not completed their bachelor's degree by the time they submit their application for admission may be admitted to CMU Australia with the condition they submit their final transcript, including their date of graduation, prior to the start of their first semester at CMU Australia.)

The 12-month track requires 3 or more years of professional work experience.

The 21-month track does not require any work experience.
