Undergraduate coursework courses and honours courses with "standard" English proficiency requirements require:

 overall IELTS (or equivalent) of 6.0 with no band score below 5.5.

 Postgraduate coursework courses (i.e. graduate certificate, graduate diploma, Masters) with "standard" English proficiency requirements require:

 overall IELTS (or equivalent) of 6.0 with no band score below 6.0.

Undergraduate :

Completion of the All India Senior School Certificate (awarded by CBSC, CISCE and all other boards) with average of 60%

Postgraduate:

 Applicants must have an undergraduate degree or equivalent as approved by the University

Higher Degree by Research courses:

 applicants must have appropriate educational qualifications, deemed by the University to be equivalent to an undergraduate or graduate degree awarded by an Australian university.

 Admission is normally on the basis of:

 • a bachelor degree with above average performance or with honours in an appropriate field of study; or

 • a degree in any field of study followed by a graduate diploma in the same field as the masters program by research; and

• evidence of capacity to undertake research at the masters level.

 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Applicants intending to produce a creative thesis are required to submit a portfolio of creative work in the form and media they intend to use.

The University of Canberra and its Bruce (Canberra ACT) campus accommodation providers are pleased to offer guaranteed accommodation to new and continuing international students .

By living in University accommodation, you will become a member of a diverse and stimulating community. Experience the excitement of living in a truly multi-national community and making new friends with both local and international students!

 

There are three accommodation options for students - UniLodge (consisting of Cooper Lodge, Weeden Lodge and more recently UC Lodge, all run by UniLodge Australia Pty Ltd), University of Canberra Village (run by Campus Living Villages) and University Gardens (located in neighbor suburb of Belconnen, run by UniGardens Pty . All options are provided to all students, including international students.

 

WEEDEN LODGE

 Weeden Lodge is located in the heart of the Belconnen town centre – only a short 15 minute walk to the University. The Lodge has 480 beds with over ten different room types including single studios and multi-share apartment living on offer. To make Weeden Lodge as affordable as possible, it is supported by the National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS) with financial assistance from the Commonwealth and ACT governments.

 

COOPER LODGE

This is the University’s newest accommodation. Located in the heart of the university precinct, this state-of-the-art building has 416 beds and offers single studios and apartments, and multi-share, five-bedroom apartments. To make Cooper Lodge as affordable as possible, it is supported by the National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS) with financial assistance from the Commonwealth and ACT governments.

UC Lodge

UC Lodge is the University's newest student accommodation project. Located in the heart of campus, the 496-bed facility will provide students with accommodation that is close to their learning spaces as well as the growing amenities the campus has to offer.

UC Lodge includes a mixture of one-bed and multi-share accommodation options. Residents will also have access to a variety of public and private recreation and study spaces.

UC Lodge will be operated by UniLodge.

UNIVERSITY OF CANBERRA VILLAGE

 The Village accommodation is self-catered and offers a variety of living options – from 12-room share residences to one-, two-, and five-bedroom apartments.  ResLife program boasts student exclusive events such as cooking classes, day trips, as well as private study spaces and wifi internet connectivity all over campus.

Short-term stay accommodation

The University of Canberra Village offers tourists, groups, independent travellers as well as UC staff and faculty a range of self-catered apartments year round.  They offer a number of convenient facilities, including an on-site café, coin operated laundry and common recreation lounge with Foxtel.  The University of Canberra Village is a perfect choice for holiday, business, sports or conference groups visiting the Nation’s Capital.

For a limited period, and subject to availability and relevant terms and conditions, the University of Canberra Village is offering a 15% discount for students, staff & faculty on short-stay accommodation.   Their modern apartments offer bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens, and spacious living and dining areas. Catering is also available upon request.

 

The University of Canberra accommodation website contains information about off-campus accommodation options including family homes, apartments and share-house accommodation. Family homes and apartments cost from $380 to $450 a week depending on the size and number of bedrooms. Share-house cost is approximately $170 to $200 a week. A Homestay Program is also available for international students who would like to stay with an Australian family.

The University of Canberra and University of Canberra College offer limited number of scholarships for International Students.

 Scholarships are supported by community organisations, the Government, the University of Canberra and University of Canberra College.

The University of Canberra is offering $5000 merit based scholarships to international students with Indian citizenship who are applying for admission to a UC Master degree coursework.

One of the major scholarships programs available for international students is the Australia Awards. The Australia Awards is administered by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), the Department of Education and the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR). Other award available is the International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS), a program that focuses on improving the quality of Australian research.
