The University of East London (UEL) is a public university in the London Borough of Newham, London, England, based at three campuses in Stratford and Docklands.

The University of East London is a dynamic university recognised for its teaching and research excellence. It offers a wide range of degree programmes and short courses, flexible study options, excellent facilities, an exciting London location and strong employment prospects, with one of the highest graduate employment rates in London.

It is a vibrant university with a vision to bring transformational academic and enterprising opportunities to those in the region. They seek to do this through diversity, partnership and excellence in teaching and research.

The University of East London runs seven schools including Architecture, Computing and Engineering, Arts and Digital Industries, Cass School of Education and Communities, Health, Sport and Bioscience, Psychology, Social Sciences, Royal Docks School of Business and Law and a Graduate School. The university prides its Psychology, Education and Communities, and Business and Law schools. There are more than 120 nationalities represented on the campus. The wide range of postgraduate programmes are taught by subject specialists who are at the forefront of their fields. They consult with employers when creating courses and work hard to ensure you gain work experience and make useful contacts. They also offer an excellent package of scholarships and bursaries for postgraduate students.

UEL is located in the East London boroughs of Stratford and Docklands. The largest campus is in Docklands. The Stratford Campus hosting Cass School of Education and Communities, the School of Health Sport and Bioscience and the School of Psychology, is centred around a 19th century listed building. The University Square Stratford campus is jointly owned with Birkbeck, and is dedicated to adult students. The Stratford campus has the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games sites and the new Westfield shopping centre - Europe's largest - on its doorstep, as well as improved transport links within the capital, across the UK and beyond. The Docklands campus, opened in 2000, is the newest university campus in London, with an amazing waterfront location and outstanding facilities.

The institution offers a number of different clubs and societies run by students, heir focus ranging from arts to biking, and from causes such as International Development and LGBT rights to identity - whether national, cultural, political or religious. Clubs and societies are one of the best ways to get to know people with similar interests and make friends.

The University of East London is one of the few universities in London offering on-campus accommodation. But you can also live off campus, especially if you already have a family or want to share a flat with your partner.

London is an expensive city to live in. It is also a lot of fun and it can be very tempting (and easy) to overspend when you first arrive. You need to be careful not to run out of funds after the first few months. This means planning your money carefully and budgeting to make sure you don’t spend beyond your means. You will probably need at least £1000 a month as a minimum
