About University: The University of Salford is just a mile and a half from Manchester city centre's endless bars, clubs, shops, and fabulous galleries and museums. In 2011, the university joined six national BBC departments and ITV at MediaCityUK - the new powerhouse of digital and broadcast innovation at Salford Quays. The university's digital learning, teaching and research base gives students an opportunity to work with media professionals using the very latest technology.

Bursaries: Vice-chancellor's excellence scholarship: If you achieve AAB at A-level or equivalent, you could receive a £2,000 cash award for the first year of your course.

Salford National Scholarship Programme: If you're a Greater Manchester resident and your household income is less than £25,000, you could receive a £2,000 discount on your fees plus £1,000 cash award for each year of your course.

Accommodation: Weekly costs start at £79 per week, among the lowest in the country. University and university-partner accommodation is offered to most first years.

Weekly rent in halls of residence and approved student housing ranges from £70 to £151 per week. All are within a 20 minute walk of the campus and city centre.

Admission Requirement*:

UG: The following grades are normally required (Exam Board in brackets): 50% (West Bengal), 55% (ISC, awarded by CISCE), 60% (CBSE), 65% (All other State Boards).

PG: 3 or 4 year Bachelor degree with an overall average of 55% from a recognised institution or 50% plus any relevant work experience or additional, relevant qualifications.

IELTS Requirements:

UG: IELTS - 6.0 (including a minimum of 5.5 in all bands)

Fees Range: If you are studying full-time, you will receive up to a maximum of £9,000 per year, depending on the course you take.
