About University: There aren't many universities that can boast a world heritage site, but this one can. The main campus is on the banks of the Thames in three baroque buildings designed by Sir Christopher Wren at the end of the 17th century. Other sites are Avery Hill, in an 86-acre park in Eltham, south-east London, and Medway, another charming campus full of Edwardian redbrick and ivy, near Chatham's historic dockyard. As a result, the 28,000 students are spread between city and more rural locations.

In the latest national student survey, 86% of Greenwich's final-year students say that they are satisfied with the quality of their degree courses.
