About University: Derby is proud of its personal touch: small classes, a personal tutor and a friendly atmosphere. The majority of its classes have fewer than 30 students. Derby offers single and joint honours in a wide range of areas including, arts, business, health, science, technology, computer gaming and leisure-industry-related subjects. More than 40 courses are available online. The university is engaged with regional business and has several initiatives in place to boost student employability, including around 90 incubation units.

The campus at Buxton, which includes the grade II-listed Dome, is set in a charming spa town, which is home to Buxton Opera and Buxton festival.

Bursaries:  We have a number of merit based partial scholarships, College Award for £3000 or School Award of £2000 available for international students starting their course in September 2015 or January 2016.
These scholarships are available to apply for once you have applied to the University. You must be a full time international (outside the EU) taught student in the first year of your study at the University of Derby.
If you are successful, either £2000 or £3000 will be deducted from your tuition fees. There are also a number of individual scholarships available for particular courses which become available throughout the year.

Accommodation: Derby guarantees a place for every first-year undergraduate student who applies by the end of July in one of eight halls of residence; seven in Derby and one in Buxton. The halls are close to the campuses. Room costs currently range from £76.58 to £137.76 a week. There are also optional extras, such as an annual car parking permit for £270, motorbike permit for £135.
