About University: You could never accuse Abertay of being stuck in the past. It offers world-leading courses in computer arts, ethical hacking, computer games technology and environmental sciences; has some of the best IT facilities in the UK; and, in 2009, was accredited as the first UK centre of excellence for computer games education. In recent years, Abertay has built new multifunction teaching and learning spaces, and a student centre with cinema, coffee shop, nightclub and exhibition gallery. Dundee itself is a bustling, hard-working city, the fourth largest in Scotland and also, apparently, the sunniest, thanks to its south-facing aspect. There are good local arts scenes, with a particularly good track record in music.

Bursaries: Chevening Scholarships are the UK government's global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. The programme makes awards to outstanding scholars with leadership potential from around the world to study postgraduate courses at universities in the UK.
The Chevening programme was established in 1983 and has developed into a prestigious international scheme. Chevening Scholars come from 118 countries worldwide (excluding the USA and the EU), and this year the Scholarships will support more than 600 individuals. There are over 42,000 Chevening alumni around the world who together comprise an influential and highly regarded global network.
The programme provides full or part funding for full-time courses at postgraduate level, normally a one-year Master's degree, in any subject and at any UK university. Guidance for applicants can be found in this
