About The Institute: Established in 8 March 1990. Auckland Institute of Studies (AIS) is the largest privately owned tertiary institute in Auckland, New Zealand.The institute has two campuses in Mt Albert, Auckland: St Helens Campus, located at 28a Linwood Ave and Asquith Campus, located at 120 Asquith Ave. AIS offers bachelor and masters level degree programmes in business, information technology, tourism, and hospitality. The institute's own English Language Centre offers a range of English language courses including English teacher training (CertTESOL).The institute is closely affiliated with the Centre for Research in International Education (CRIE).

AIS offers internship opportunities in various industries to graduates and current students via a specialist organisation Intern NZ.Internship placements are coordinated via the institute's Student Job Search Centre (SJSC).

Accommodation: DORMITORY ACCOMMODATION- For those who wish to make AIS their home in Auckland, the AIS Dormitory, a three-level building situated at the St Helens Campus, provides accommodation for 120 residents in single, twin and multi-share rooms. The rooms are fully furnished, each with its own study area. HOMESTAY ACCOMMODATION- Many students are keen to experience the New Zealand lifestyle while they are studying with us, and homestay accommodation offers an excellent opportunity to do so..Homestay rates cover accommodation and two meals (breakfast and dinner) per weekday, and three meals during weekends and on public holidays. A member of the homestay family is required to escort their student to and from AIS on their first day of study. Homestay payments are paid by AIS on behalf of the student.

Admission Requirement*: 

Undergraduate: Equivalent overseas qualification;

Postgraduate: A degree, or equivalent professional qualification as approved by the Academic Board of AIS; and at least two years relevant work experience as approved by the Academic Board of AIS or hold an undergraduate degree, or graduate diploma, bachelor honours degree, postgraduate diploma or postgraduate degree, in cognate discipline areas awarded by a tertiary institution approved by the Academic Board and include the module 4.798 Internship.

IELTS Requirements: 

Undergraduate: IELTS 6.0 with no individual band lower than 5.5

Postgraduate: IELTS 6.5 with no individual band lower than 6.0

Fees Range: 

Undergraduate: 17,000- 19,000 NZ$.

Postgraduate: NZ$32,700.
