The Clive Berghofer Rec Centre is one of the nest equipped regional sporting facilties combining high tech gymnasium equipment, Olympic standard basketball, netball courts and aerobics centre. In its early days the centre established itself by playing host to a variety of live performances including Tina Arena, Human Nature, Matchbox 20 and the Seekers. Three coeducational residential colleges - McGregor, Steel Rudd and Concannon provide accommodation and meals for more than 450 students. There are also a number of private student residential villages and apartment complexes adjacent to campus that provide excellent quality accommodation.

Bursaries: Australia Awards Scholarships are prestigious international scholarships and fellowships funded by the Australian Government. USQ has been involved in the Australian Awards scholarship program for many years.

Accommodation:  Residential Colleges provides stress-free and affordable accommodation for both long and short stay periods. As a resident, you will benefit from a wide range of services and facilities and be located conveniently close to the University. Each of the Residential Colleges has a common room assigned to each block. Common rooms are equipped with a fridge, television, DVD player, toaster, microwave and kettle.

Ratings: It offers courses in law, health, engineering, the sciences, business, education, and the arts. In 1998 it was named World's Best On and Off Campus University by the International Council for Open and Distance Education and was winner of the Australian University of the Year Award in 2000-2001.

Admission Requirement*: To apply for an undergraduate (or your first) university degree at USQ, you must have a recognized previous academic qualification. These recognized qualifications are recognised for standard entry and are based on comparisons with Australian year 12 level examinations.
 • GCE A Levels - minimum grade of D or better in GCE A-level English
 • GCE O Levels - minimum grade of C or better in GCE O-level English
 • International Baccalaureate (IB) - English B Standard Level grade 5, higher level (A1 or A2) grade 4

If you are an international student wanting to study a postgraduate program at UQ, you have to:
• Meet the English language proficiency requirements
• Demonstrate you have an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, certificate and/or relevant work experience
• Satisfy any other program-specific requirements
