About University: Central Queensland University (alternatively known as CQUniversity) is an Australian dual sector university based in Queensland. Its main campus is in North Rockhampton, Queensland. However, it also has campuses in Rockhampton City, Bundaberg, Emerald, Gladstone City.

CQUniversity runs programs in a wide range of disciplines, including apprenticeships, trades and training; business, accounting and law; creative, performing and visual arts; education and humanities; engineering and building environment; health; information technology and digital media; psychology, social work and community services, science and environment; and English, work and study preparation.

Bursaries: The Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship is open to future international students who intend to study an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at a CQUniversity campus. The Scholarship rewards successful applicants with a 20 percent reduction in tuition fees for the duration of their studies, subject to meeting terms and conditions.

Accommodation: International Students studying at CQUniversity can choose from a variety of accommodation options including: on-campus accommodation at selected campuses, homestay or renting an apartment or a house. The Mackay Student Residence boasts modern facilities with rooms available in block-style accommodation: 12 rooms with an ensuite; 10 rooms with shared bathrooms; and 72 rooms with personal ensuite, microwave, fridge, stove tops and private veranda.

Ratings:  CQUniversity ranks in the top 20% of Australian institutions for graduate starting salaries. In 2012, CQUniversity lifted its rankings in the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) it from 28 (in 2010) to 21. The University picked up three five-star ratings in 2012, up from its 2010 result of just two three-star ratings.

Admission Requirement*:

UG: To apply for entry to an undergraduate program, you must have successfully completed the equivalent of an Australian Year 12. An approved university foundation studies or formal Australian Certificate IV can also be taken to meet this entry requirement. If you successfully completed a certificate, diploma or advanced diploma program (or equivalent) you may gain advanced standing into your CQ University program.

PG: To apply for entry to a postgraduate program, you must have successfully completed the equivalent of an Australian undergraduate degree. If you do not meet the direct entry requirements to a postgraduate program may be eligible for entry into a graduate certificate or graduate diploma.

IELTS Requirements: 

UG: A minimum of 6.0 score is required for any undergraduate program.

PG: All students applying for postgraduate research course would require a minimum score of 6.5 while other postgraduate programs require a score of 6.0.

Fees Range:  Undergraduate programmers will usually range between $23,280-$136,920 while postgraduate programmes will range between $10,440-$42,240.
